At least 1300 candidates from 12 political parties are vying for chairmanship and councillorship positions in the just concluded election in Lagos state. The Lagos state local government elections in most polling units closed at 3.00 pm on Saturday according to reports, and reports has it that counting of votes have commenced since then.
